The challenge

We live in the information age. Everyday we are exposed to a lot of media from various sources. Many times the reliability of these sources and their information is questionable. There is no comprehensive solution for fighting against disinformation in today’s social space. RealTalk aims to be a tool used to assist moderators of debates, forums and social media to battle disinformation. It also provides regular people with a tool that helps them find reliable sources for various statements.

The solution

RealTalk is a framework that allows real-time fact checking of speech by looking at various online sources and summarizing them. It avoids bias by not making any decisions on its own. Instead, it provides the users with sources connected to the statement made and an analysis of these sources, leaving the final interpretation of the validity of the statement to the end user.
