E2 Engine
Mission
To decarbonize the heaviest machines on Earth with adaptable zero-emission engines built to outlast the fuel race.
The challenge
Heavy duty vehicles being only 4% of the transportation market contribute to more than 25% of the global emissions. With existing solutions for light vehicles not applicable for the heavy duty market, a new architecture is needed to meet zero emission targets without compromising operational demands. But achieving zero emission targets isn’t a day’s work, and therefore needs a solution that can adhere to the future changes and challenges to the advances in the types fuels. Hydrogen today. Synthetic fuels tomorrow and the industry can’t afford to reinvent propulsion everytime.
The solution
At E2 Power Systems, we’re building a hydrogen combustion turbine engine that delivers high torque, zero CO₂, and over 50% thermal efficiency without the complexity of fuel cells or the limitations of batteries. But what makes it truly disruptive? It’s multi-fuel adaptable by design. As the world shifts from hydrogen to e-fuels, ammonia, or something we haven’t named yet, fleets can’t afford to overhaul their drivetrain every decade. Our engine is architected for adaptability, a single propulsion platform that evolves with the fuel market instead of being replaced by it.
