The challenge

Students and recent graduates face an extreme shortage of affordable housing, making individual homeownership nearly impossible. While buying a home collectively with a group of friends is a viable solution, the financial, legal, and organizational barriers are incredibly high. Traditional mortgages and legal frameworks are not suited for multi-owner group structures. This leaves young adults locked out of the housing market, unable to build equity or secure stable living conditions during a crucial phase of their lives.

The solution

Samen Hypotheek is a platform that structurally lowers the barrier to collective homeownership. We provide groups with standardized legal agreements, financial roadmaps, and expert guidance to co-buy safely. To scale this, we are building a comprehensive knowledge base that will power a domain-specific AI (LLM) assistant, giving users instant, 24/7 answers to complex "samen wonen" questions. This tech-driven approach simplifies cooperative ownership structures, empowering young adults to bypass the traditional rental sector, live together, and build equity.
