Memora
Mission
Our mission is to support individuals affected by memory loss, whether due to dementia, Alzheimer’s, brain injury, or other causes, in maintaining independence, confidence, and quality of life.
The challenge
Cognitive health is an increasingly critical concern. More than 55 million people live with dementia, a number expected to nearly double by 2050, with Alzheimer’s disease accounting for 60–70% of cases. While age is the strongest risk factor, especially after 65, cognitive decline is not a normal part of aging. Declining cognitive health significantly impacts daily functioning, making it difficult to manage quotidian tasks. Addressing these challenges requires effective, accessible solutions that support memory, safety, and autonomy in everyday life.
The solution
Memora is a paired ecosystem designed for simplicity and emotional support. For the Guardian: A remote app where family members upload photos of the grandkids, recordings of a favorite song, or voice notes. For the User: A dedicated software application with no menus to get lost in and no confusing notifications. It launches automatically daily, guiding the user through a personalized journey of their own life. We use Repeated Retrieval Therapy and Active Recalling, which are the scientific standards for slowing cognitive decline, wrapped in a package that feels like a digital photo album from a loved one.
