WindSight makes offshore wind turbine maintenance more efficient by adding AI-driven diagnostics to existing inspection infrastructure.

The challenge

Offshore wind turbines are critical to Europe's energy transition, yet blade maintenance remains one of the industry's most costly and dangerous challenges. O&M costs represent 30% of a turbine's total lifetime expenses. Current inspection regimes are either periodic (conducted regardless of actual asset condition) or reactive, responding only after damage escalates. Sensor data and drone inspection data exist isolated, neither informing the other. The result: unnecessary vessel deployments, missed early-stage damage, unplanned downtime, and avoidable emissions from offshore crew transfers. The industry lacks a diagnostic intelligence layer to tell operators precisely when and where to act.

The solution

WindSight is an AI diagnostics platform that works alongside existing drone inspection companies and turbine sensor systems, adding a software intelligence layer on top of infrastructure already deployed. We fuse SCADA sensor data with drone inspection imagery to generate precise, actionable maintenance recommendations. Where existing tools capture what is visibly wrong, WindSight diagnoses why, how urgently, and what to do. Operators reduce unnecessary inspections, cut downtime, lower O&M costs, and extend blade lifespan without replacing any existing hardware.
