RijLens
Mission
To improve driving education by making feedback visual and structured, helping students learn from their mistakes and enhancing their learning process.
The challenge
Driving students often repeat the same mistakes during lessons because feedback is mostly verbal and moment-based. After a lesson, students struggle to remember exactly what went wrong, when it happened, and why. Instructors also lack structured tools to document mistakes, track progress over time, and identify recurring patterns. This leads to inefficient learning, longer training periods, higher lesson costs, and increased stress for both students and instructors.
The solution
RijLens is a system, a digital learning platform connected to in-car cameras used during driving lessons. When a student makes a mistake, the instructor can press a button to save video footage from shortly before and after the moment. After the lesson, the footage is uploaded to a secure platform where students and instructors each have an account, and the student can view the footage. Extra features in the future could be that instructors can add feedback, future lesson plans, and remarks, while students can review mistakes, track progress, and identify patterns to improve learning efficiency.
