As rural populations decline, demographic change is felt especially hard in agriculture. Moreover, intensive farming degrades the soil and threatens future yields. Precision agriculture with drones is often seen as a solution to reduce pesticides and increase automation. But while drones have become very affordable already, few farmers actually use them. That is because flying a drone is difficult, tightly regulated and carries risk. To really let precision agriculture unfold its potential, we cannot expect overburdened farmers to also become drone pilots and data analysts themselves.

After the war in Ukraine, energy prices in Europe and the Netherlands rose significantly, worsened by the extreme cold of winter 2022. This has made home sustainability more urgent, yet student housing is often overlooked. The Social Impact Hub aims to address this by improving sustainability in student homes and raising awareness of energy consumption. Many student houses are in historic buildings with strict renovation rules, making insulation difficult. Students, who stay temporarily, often see little reason to invest, while landlords lack incentives since students pay the bills. This creates a gap that requires targeted solutions.

However, research shows a 35% decline in students' critical thinking skills due to AI-generated biases, hallucinations, and irrelevant information. Traditional AI tools fail to align with students' specific learning contexts, leading to misinformation and reduced engagement. There is a need for an AI-driven education platform that ensures responses are directly relevant to course materials while enhancing transparency in reasoning, bias, and confidence.
