Mission

Our long-term vision is to equip farmers with data-driven robotic solutions to meet the ever-increasing demand for sustainable food production.

The challenge

Worldwide, pomaceous (e.g. apple and pear) farmers are facing a labour shortage. They rely on seasonal workers from abroad to harvest their crops, but the availability of these workers is scarce. In addition, labour costs are rising as governments introduce stricter regulations for foreign workers. Labour shortages and rising costs are putting pressure on farmers’ production capacity. A solution is needed to ensure food security and support struggling farmers.

The solution

We provide Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) tailored to farmers’ needs by seamlessly integrating into existing agricultural operations, working alongside farmers without requiring changes to their workflow. Initially, we focus on harvesting of pomaceous fruit: the orchard layout is digitally mapped to plan an optimal harvesting route. On harvesting day, our autonomous robot fleet operates as a workforce to harvest the crops.
