Our mission is to develop autonomous robots that support farmers with manual labour in their orchards.

The challenge

Dutch fruit farmers are facing a labour crisis for manual tasks such as thinning, pruning and harvesting. The agricultural sector heavily relies on migrant workers, and estimations suggest this reliance will only increase in the future. At the same time, experts in the sector are sounding the alarm, warning that the once steady stream of migrant labourers could deteriorate within just a couple of years. There is an urgent need for autonomous alternatives for manual tasks such as thinning, pruning and harvesting.

The solution

We provide Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) to farmers who need autonomous alternatives to physical tasks in their orchards. Just like an employment agency, the farmers will state how many hours of thinning, pruning or harvesting they need help with and we will quote our price. Upon agreement we will provide our autonomous robots with a custom fleet size to get the job done within the specified timeframe.
