The challenge

In the ever-evolving realms of robotics and human movement technology, there's a pressing need for a one-size-fits-all actuation solution. Whether it's powering quadruped or humanoid robots or enhancing prosthetics, a readily available solution is crucial. Something that's easy to control, meets torque demands, can be smoothly backdriven, scales well, and is energy-efficient. Finding such a solution not only simplifies development but also opens doors to significant breakthroughs in the future of mobility.

The solution

An innovative brushless motor reduced via a cycloidal drive with an integrated field oriented speed controller and an additional microcontroller for the integrated sensor suite for the implementation of diverse control schemes. All tied up in a neat package that can be adapted seamlessly into any robotic or prosthetic product.
